How do I get a Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR)?

Your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) is an electronic transcript which is provided to students via a weblink, supported by a company called Gradintel. You will be sent an activation link to access your HEAR during your first semester. This email contains a link which you should click on to activate your account and set up a username and password.

Sometimes the email can go into your junk mailbox. If you need to request a new activation link, please email HEAR@surrey.ac.uk and they will be able to send you a new one.

If you are a student not in your final year, the transcript available on your Gradintell account will act as an interim transcript or progress report and will show the marks that you achieved so far. It will be updated towards the end of September each year.

If you are a final year student, your final HEAR will show your award classification as well as listing the modules for which you were registered, together with the level of the module, the credits and marks awarded, and any professional training and other work based learning completed, along with a record of prizes and other awards.
